You may have noticed that we have been away for a while but now we are back! Over the next few weeks we will be telling you a bit more about our adventures and what we found.
So where did we go you may ask … well we started by flying to Seoul (South Korea) before jumping on a train to Busan. After a couple of days there we jumped on a plane to Jeju Island for a long weekend. Then back to Seoul for just over a week. Then we got on another plane to Japan starting in Osaka before heading to Tokyo.
Why did we go? Well if you look back into our blog and while your at it subscribe – you can see we both love our K-dramas, K-Pop, K-Beauty and all things Korean and Bob has been learning the language for over 6 years now. While we were there Ash had worked for a Japanese Newspaper and had always wanted to go. So with some planning, compromising and what not, the plan was made to go to both.
How? We got a deal with Trailfinders for some of the flights London to Seoul, Then Japan then Back to Seoul and then back to London. The Trains, Jeju flight and all other modes of transport we arranged separately. We booked hotels via Expedia and Airbnb. Trains were all paid for on the day and we bought travel cards in both countries. All of which we will go into later.
So the posts will probably cover as always – Food & Drink, Experiences in each place, We will also do a seperate coffee post and our tips and tricks to get around and where to go and what we thought. A pre-warning our opinions are vastly different so you will probably get a well rounded view.
