Missing Moss

This is not our usual post but yesterday – Wednesday – we lost the Moss of our Climbing Moss.

Right at the start of this blog we pondered upon a name and then thought how about combining our two dogs. – Solo – after Solo the climbing Springer Spaniel and Moss – after Bracken our Cocker Spaniel.

Last week Bracken turned 15 – he had a big birthday treat – Cake, Chinese food (His favourite) and presents but then his health quickly declined. In hindsight we think maybe he was holding on so he could celebrate his birthday with us before leaving.

Bracken gave us a wonderful 15 years – he was loved, spoiled to the point of ridiculousness and gave us so much to remember him by. Unfortunately over time he had a number of health issues that Spaniels are prone to and his quality of life was gradually declining.

Yesterday we had to say goodbye – though we are heartbroken we are also so thankful that we got the pleasure of spending time with him, making memories, growing with him and loving him.

His name will carry on through this blog and through our memories.
