This is the last post of KPop Group Idols – this time, The Female soloists, because the list on K-Profiles is extensive it has taken us a long time to filter through and come up with a proper list of actual recording artists. So here is every one of them and those we know and what we think of them…
The K-Profiles list of Female Soloists is massive, but of the 1,000’s of names on there maybe 95% of them aren’t Recording Artists, most are buskers or girls who sing at the local Norabang (Korean Karaoke). So we (well Bob) went through the entire list and deleted everyone that wasn’t relevant to produce the definitive list.

Bob – I think Bibi was the first K-Pop artist I had ever listened to, this was years and years ago before I even knew what K-Pop was. As Ash said she is one of my favorite artists.

Ash – I’m not the biggest fan of Yunjin – she’s the loud one in Le Sserafim, but I do like her solo stuff, ‘Raise a Glass’, is a great tune and the videos are all animated by her, a real talent, shame she’s so American!
Bob – Her songs aren’t bad, the videos make it better! The attitude ect doesn’t really bother me.

Ash – I know Hwasa and have music by her, but ask me to name a song by her and i’ll fail, but play something and i’ll know it, she’s more the other member of Mamamoo for me!
Bob – I’m a fan of Hwasa I like her music, attitude and overall style. It’s a shame her tour got cancelled this year.

Ash – (Pulls a scrunched up face) Hyolyn is a difficult one to talk about, I saw her first on Queendom and she seemed talented, but she’s a Queen Bitch and will throw others to the floor in order stand one them to look taller! Also she really loves to flaunt her bum and she really doesn’t have one – at all!
Bob – I can’t really say I know her music only that she is intent on twerking her non-existent bum.

Ash – What can you say about Lee Ji Eun, she is amazing, flawlessly beautiful, down to earth and funny and her songs, albums and concerts are notoriously amazing!
Bob – Ditto but she’s also a really good actress.

Ash – ‘Lazy Jennie’! Well she has gained that title on tour recently, but apparently when she’s doing the solo stuff she shines. Her Solo songs are a mixed bag for me. Solo is iconic given it’s our dog’s theme tune! But the recent stuff hasn’t even hit my radar.
Bob – I’m not really sure about Jennie I mean her performances are lackluster and her music lately has been pretty crap with the exception of the ExtraL song.
Jeon Soyeon ((G)I-DLE)
Ash – Another one that isn’t on my radar!
Bob – I prefer her in I-dle but she is a pretty good lyricist!

Ash – I know her more for the plastic look than for the music, of course i know her for, ‘I see. you looking at my P-I-C…” – Zoom. But that’s it really!
Bob – There’s a couple of good songs on Nuna and a couple of the singles are catchy, but she is very loud.

Ash – One of those artists I don’t see in a band and don’t really know much (or can’t remember) of their solo stuff, for me the member of Twice is overshadowed by Sana, Momo, Nayeon Tzuyu and Jeongyeon.
Bob – I don’t remember the solo music tbh.
Jisoo (BLACKPINK)
Ash – The serious one in BlackPink, well she seems that way, but her solo stuff is pretty good, I mean Flower is an amazingly catchy track.
Bob – Her first album was good but her second album only had a couple of songs which were ok but not great.

Ash – Bob missed this one, I have 2 albums by Jo Yuri, the former member of the best group ever (for me) and the ‘Pregnant Girl’ in Season 2 of Squid Games is how everyone seems to know her now. I know her mostly as Chaewon’s Twin!
Bob – I have heard one album which wasn’t bad but isn’t overly memorable but she is pretty and a good actor.

Ash – She was in IZ*One that should say enough, but Kwon Eunbi is the idol I saw at the ISAACs a few years back and was jaw dropping and scrambling to find out who she was, then I made Bob walk all around Seoul last year to find her single, on the day of release. I am a massive RUBI (Fan).
Bob – Again I know her a little the newest single has stood out more to me than the previous songs.
