Yes it’s that time again , No, Not Christmas! the time for the Climbing-Moss Top Men and Women lists! And before we share our annual choices here is a prelude…
If you are new here or need a reminder, each year we spend months trying to work out who we think are the most beautiful, interesting, charismatic and downright cutest Celebrities. To qualify they must have produced something this year, songs, albums, been in a film or on a TV show, modelled for a current campaign or in the case of TikTok and YouTubers, have a sizeable following – over 25,000 Subs.
Some are easy to add and others are difficult and then it’s a case of listing them and putting them in our order of preferences.
So, first up starting with Ash’s Men, then Bob’s Men, Then Ash’s Women and finally Bob’s Women.
But this year, before all that, we have a few ‘Honourable Mentions’ we have realised there are a small selection of individuals that don’t fit the standard catagories, there aren’t enough to make a full list (not yet) but they need to be included. These are the Non-Binary, Non-Gender, Gender Neutral, Transgender, or basically those brave souls who have faced the world as their true selves, not the shell of skin they were assigned at birth.
Chinni Promsri – Thailand – Model – Lady Boy
I have known of Chinni for about 2 years but never knew where to put them in the Top 100 lists until now. They are a model, youtuber, influencer etc and have been in a number of Kpop music videos. They are beautiful! and multilingual so for Bob that’s a bonus!
Kokona Akiyama – Cocona – Japan – Singer in XG – Trans, AFAB Non-Gender/Trans Masculine, They/Them
Cocona was in Bob’s Top women last year but since the big announcement 2 weeks ago about having Top surgery and coming out as Trans, AFAB Non-Gender/Trans Masculine. They had nowhere to be placed hence this list addition.
Robyn Holdaway – UK – TikToker – Non-Binary. They/Them
We had seen Robin on Sex Education – the tv series – they played a female questioning identity – then they appeared on Ash’s TikTok fyp and the content was interesting, fun and never dull!
Valentina Sampaio – Brazil – Model – Trans Female – She/Her
You can’t do this list without adding one of the most successful Trans Models – having walked for Victoria Secret she has nothing to hide and a body to be proud of.
Elliot Page – USA – Actor in The Umbrella Academy – Trans Male – They/Them
Another person that has to be included – we have watched Ellen Page for most of her career and then when Umbrella Academy started she seemed rather depressed and uncomfortable. After Season 1 ended Season 2 came back introducing Elliot Page and it all made sense. They seem a lot happier now.
Laverne Cox – USA – Actor/Presenter – Trans Female/ She/Her
Probably the first publicly popular Trans person that we had seen on Orange is the New Black and since then she has flourished and transformed even more.
