We have found even more coffee shops around London.
Waffle Jacks – Wimbledon SW19

The only coffee shop option in Wimbledon’s back streets is Waffle Jacks, an American burger-and-milkshake bar run by a group of Romanians. It looks like a full traditional American diner, complete with Checkered floors, Red booths, and car number plates galore, making Bob miss home.
The Americano leaked like crazy and was ridiculously hot!!!!! The Mocha did have that texture that is always present in places where coffee is not the main priority – normally milkshakes or the like – so the foam is extra-foamy, and the chocolate is very thick. At first, the Mocha came with whipped cream, marshmallows and cherry syrup but after an explanation, it was remade in the vegan way.

On a Horrible Horrible day we hunted high and low for a coffee that wasn’t a chain and didn’t have a massive lunch rush queue. We found Coffeeology, a small shop on the end/corner of an alley. The building was cool and inside was bustling – there were even dog treats on the counter! The staff were really nice and they had a vast selection of cake slices to choose from – we passed on the offer and instead went for the usual Mocha and Americano.
Nice building, nice staff
Dan’s Vault – Estate Agents Haringey

As we have been going to Haringey a lot recently, we have been in search of new coffee shops and thought we’d seen a bagel/coffee shop – well we had! In amongst a ton of scaffolding there is a letting agent and a…… Coffee shop!?! Yes, you heard that right and we know it makes no sense but we thought this was random, so why not? The Coffee man was really nice and helpful it was a bit off-putting with the random man in the back waiting for some business and/or yelling about rent over the phone.

Alley Camden

You know how much we love the Alley and when Bob was wandering the other week she noticed another branch had popped up in Camden. So when we found ourselves in the area, we had to go! We got our usual order and it was as suspected – Delicious!!!

In a land where people are scared of dogs, where dirty looks are normal and where coffee seems like an afterthought, we found a small kiosk of hope. Run by one Lady who was really nice, we ordered our usual – after finding out she was an ex-employee of Café Nero at Heathrow Airport, we understood why the Coffee was so good. She told us some of her Coffee history, which was really interesting – so if you are reading this, we have remembered you and thank you for the delicious coffee!

Another one of the ‘in search of an Indie coffee shop’ We walked past a selection of small shops, but Tintico seemed to have the largest cups (a must-have for us). We walked inside and were met with not necessarily hostility, but most certainly not a welcome. He grumpily made our order and we left fairly quickly – They did have single-origin Ethiopian coffee, but as we suspected, it was going to be sour, so a number of sugars were needed. In the end, the coffee was ok but nothing worth returning for.

When we are in this area, we will always go out of our way to find a Colicci as we know the coffee is good. This was no different. We met Maurice, our barista, who was really nice, really friendly and really helpful! He made sure our allergies were catered to and even had a smile to go with it and more than a few jokes. We will be returning as the coffees were really good!
Petersham Coffee

This was one of those pretentious ‘You are lucky to be served’ sort of shops where the staff care more about their looks than anything you could eat/drink. Well, you could tell this by the taste and the amount of time it took to make a sour, nasty coffee, so if you are in the area, don’t bother to go here unless you like waiting 25 mins for a mediocre coffee and want to pose outside with a ‘trendy book’ (when there wasn’t even much of a queue)
So that was the last Coffee review of 2022. We will be doing our best of the year and awards at the end of the year, so stay tuned.
