Testing I’m From Licorice Line: Pads, Ampoule & Cream – Her Review

As a Wishtrend Affiliate, I am one of the lucky few who get to try out the upcoming lines and new products (occasionally) and this time it’s the ‘I’m From Liquorice’ Line, so here is my experience of the 3-step process and what I think of it.

The ‘I’m From Liquorice’ Line features a range of products infused with the goodness of natural liquorice extract. The three products are as follows.

Cleansing Pads

Soothing Ampoule

Calming Cream

Product Design

Let’s start with the packaging. The color scheme is so pretty! The White and Turquoise are so aesthetically pleasing that they feel like they belong on a shelf rather than getting lost among all your beauty products in the bathroom.

Cleansing Pads

This is a really well-packaged, sophisticated product! The pot has a waterproof cover to keep the pads moist and well insulated, and it also comes with a pair of plastic tweezers that attach to the lid, so you can keep the pads free from the oils on your fingers.

The pads themselves have a bumpy textured side and a smooth side. The bumpy textured side is for exfoliation, I did find it worked a charm without irritating my sensitive skin, which is perfect. Then, on the smooth side, I just dabbed on and let it sit for a couple of minutes to give more of a mask-like effect. After just one application, I found my skin felt lovely and smooth with a creamy, filmy feel. Obviously, the improvement will come with time (hopefully).

Overall, the product is really good, the exfoliation worked without leaving any redness and my skin does feel a lot calmer.

Ampoule

Again, the clean turquoise and white look really stands out on my bathroom shelf.

The product itself was a little confusing, though, as the bottle has what looks like a screw top which slowly raises a flat pop-out section. When you remove the cap, you find there is a dropper and then you use the pop-out section to squirt the product into your hand. But watch out, it can splash out rather quickly.

The product itself applies really smoothly and is absorbed quickly. It wasn’t overly tacky and there were no reactions to my sensitive skin, so I’m looking forward to seeing how this ampoule performs in the long term.

Cream

The final step in the Liquorice set – The cream.

This tube is perfect to take on holiday with its compact packaging.

The cream is ok – not the best I’ve had from the ‘I’m From’ range, personally, I lean more towards the Rice line.

However, it’s easy to apply, has no scent and absorbs into the skin effortlessly. There is no tackiness once applied and it does have a calming quality almost immediately.

Again, I’m looking forward to seeing how my skin (scars and redness) improves with time.

If my initial experience is any indication, the ‘I’m From Liquorice’ Line is definitely worth the hype and I’m eager to keep using it and see the long-term results.

At around £21-29 (retail) each, they are in-keeping with the market for similar products and will be available on WishTrend soon and if you want a discount, don’t forget to use my discount code here.
