Jeju Coffee

From Busan we flew to Jeju for the weekend, so a short stay but we tried coffee and drank some interesting new mixes here is the run down.

Shmonga – Olle Market

Our first day in the Olle Market we spotted a sign for a Tangerine Americano which sounded either really nice or really vile – Bob thought, why not so we went ahead.

Ash got a Iced Mocha and Bob got an Iced Tangerine Americano both were delicious! The Orange juice took the bitterness of the coffee away and left a zingy sweet taste behind, Ash’s Mocha was more on the milky side but just as good as any. The only thing worth mentioning was the wait was well over 5 mins for these two drinks and there was no other customers at the time.

Droptop Gallery Cafe

A café/gallery at the top of the the Jeongbang Waterfall, next to a large Car Park, we almost missed the shop because of the hectic activity of all the tourists, the cars and so forth.

The Gallery was a fair size with some lovely art, Ash bought a postcard of one of the paintings and they sold coffee too.

The Coffees (2x Iced Mochas) were good! We took them to go so we could wander down to the waterfall, but they were finished by the time we descended the stairs, (more a mark of the amount of stairs and less about the size of the coffee!)

Top Brix

This was the day Bob decided to go on her walk but before all those miles I popped into Top Brix for a caffeine hit.

The cup was huge and the coffee was perfect!

Angel In Us

At Jeju Airport we had a lot of time to kill, after the arguments with the check-in staff we went through customs asap and searched for food and then coffee at one of the coffee shops while we waited for our flight.

The coffee wasn’t bad, iced Mochas as were usual or something around that theme. It was just a standard coffee!

Quiznos

We ordered two iced Mochas and two sandwiches from this Subway alternative. The sandwiches were bland and meh and the coffee was much the same, disappointingly. Plus the staff were really rude.

Well that was that! Next stop Seoul!
