The New Gods

Climbing-Moss was originally named for our Dogs, a Climbing Crag Dog that hates heights and other dogs and a Chilled Dog who liked his food but not foraging or getting dirty, now we have new members of the family and we thought we should introduce them to you…

If you are a regular to this blog you will have seen the plight of Solo and her recovery over time with Hydrotherapy at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and last year a Farewell post for Bracken, so you will be familiar with our canine companions.

Solo, you will have also seen if you have watched the YouTube Channel and the walks around London – The Heart of London walks were lead all the way by the pulling machine that is our Springer! But now there are new Kids on the Block.

First up we have Loki – the God of Mischief – he clearly named himself! A Working Cocker Spaniel and a tornado of chaos and destruction, he may only be 9 weeks old at the time of writing but he has already made his mark on our home and lives!

Next up is Caipirinha or Cappy for Short, he was a little more difficult to find his name, we had a multitude of suggestions on the list from Korean Drama Characters, to KPop Idols, Food and all sorts. We spent a few days calling out everything and anything, we sounded like we had manic Tourette’s Syndrome, like Hanni, Tteokbokki, Kimchi, Grapefruit, Fred, Hallabong, Kevin, Crag, Belay, Slingshot… In the end having exhausted them all we happened to say the Brazilian Cocktail Caipirinha and the little mister barked. The first sign of recognition, we repeated and he sat down and looked up expectantly. That was it, we had found our new Fox Red Labrador’s true name. He is Caipirinha or Cappy for short (or when he is naughty!)

So, we won’t be renaming the blog, but just know names mean the Norse God of Mischief and the The Country Bumpkin and they will appear every so often from this point on and we shall see how they develop into their names!

So that’s our news
