So…

Well it’s been a bit of a busy time of late, hence no post last week, Actually we didn’t have anything to share with you because we have been doing ‘Life’ and similarly this week is much the same, so in order to give us content we thought we’d five you a little ‘life update’…

So, it’s May 1st – Happy May Day! The last few weeks/month have been hectic/chaotic and right royal pain in the knees! But we have been so busy with other stuff we haven’t been to any new Coffee Shops, haven’t been on any walks and have not found any new Korean beauty products to tell you about – we have plenty of KPop music to tell you about, but that would be another post until itself (maybe next week?!)

So what has been getting in the way of climbing-moss.com? Well first off two puppies are enough to distract you from the keyboard, stopping you getting out and going to new places, with the need for them to be housebound until their 3rd injections, it means Bob has been limited to staying home and house training them, to some success. Teaching the dogs to pee outside is has been a struggle and to remember the things they need to learn, let alone the additional ‘Tricks’ but we are slowly getting there. Now we need to just stop them eating stones, flowerpots, sticks , snails and each other – well it proves they are little boys, isn’t that what little boys are made of.

In other news Ash, you may have recalled while in Korea last year hurt his knee, just walking up a hill in Jeju, his knee snapped and he spent the rest of the holiday in discomfort only thanks to the Korean Doctor’s who treated him did he manage to recover enough to continue and got fly home after just one week, but that knee injury – In Korea he was treated the same day, but as soon as he got home he went to get a referal for Orthopaedics to get further treatment as recommended by the Korea Consultant and it has taken 8 months in the UK’s NHS to actually get seen (in February), they finally assessed that he needed surgery on the knee and it was marked as ‘Urgent’ and so was given a date for the procedure…

August! Yep, the URGENT surgery was upto 6 months later a full year and 3 months after the initial injury. Well that wasn’t good news, but he then had follow-ups with a Sport Injury consultant and a physio who both voiced concerns that the knee would not last to the summer and they gave their recommendations to the Surgeon, thankfully this was enough. On the 1st Monday of April the surgery was scheduled for the end of April, then the very next day a phone call offered him a nearer appointment date.

So at 7am on Monday, April 14th Ash was waiting for surgery on his knee, along with a room of about 50 others, his name was called first and he was first in, first out – Yes we will say it before you have to – White Man’s Privilage, it was clear, the woman in front of him in the queue was number 25 and the Musilim Arabic man was given number 12, unfortunately it also meant the football thug with half an ear and who couldn’t read in the bed next to him was number 4! But surgery for Ash was quick and he was released into Bob’s care before midday on that Monday and we got home and that’s where he has been since (mostly). His knee is the size of a Honey Melon and he has not been able to have a bath until last night! Now he has more consultations and more follow-ups, more appointments and a lot of painkillers and pills.

Ash also has a Frozen Shoulder which was so painful he forgot about the knee paint for 4 months while he was unable to sleep due to the arm pain. But that underwent a procedure 3 weeks before the knee op. Bob is not without her own broken bits, a broken thumb and torn tendon his her hand are a major hindrance when dealing with hyperactive puppies and having to do all the shopping and ‘stuff’ for the invalid stuck at home (it is appreciated and see i’m telling the world, I recognise how much you do!) Her knees are shot, but because she’s not a White Man, she’s been told to just ‘live with it and stop complaining’, basically!

So, what else has been occurring? Well… Well the rest is just ‘stuff’ or ‘life’. Life Stuff, we have been to a lot of hospital appointments for knees, teeth, hands, heads, arms and all the rest!

But in good news; Only 79 days until Stray Kids at Tottenham Stadium! And then 114 days to Enhypen at 02 and then… well we wait and see if any female group are here and not wanting £900 a ticket. Oh and Bob is going to 8Turn too, if she can figure when and where to buy a ticket (Ash doesn’t like them!)

So what does May hold? A lot of struggling to walk for Ash and a lot of Dog Walking and running around like crazy for Bob! She is walking 2 dogs a day, Solo and Cappy and sometimes the third (Loki) all separately and not sleeping! Also not doing anything creative, working out as much as she wants or anything new which is sad/stressful. Dnd is on hold as we can’t get to it and Ash is slowly working through the lists and lists of Literary Agents to show his books to.

Walks – we had started to plan a walk before leaving for Holiday last year but then injuries blah blah blah so that’s on infinite hold.

YouTube channels, we have the Out and About channel and have changed the name of it to Climbing-Moss and we (mostly Ash and Solo) have started a new channel mostly to do with Models and Figures, RPG and DnD Stuff, as mentioned in recent posts. We can always do with more subscribers!

Anyway hopefully we will have more stuff to talk about/tell you about soon
