It’s been a few weeks since we last posted – if you can tell, we are working on our blog layout and theme,s etc. In the meantime, we have still been out and about trying some coffee; often it has just been one of us, but here you go.
Coffee In the Garden
This is a new addition; we haven’t been in St Paul’s Churchyard in Covent Garden before. So on a glorious midweek afternoon during that brief heat wave ,Ash was in need of a cooling drink, and this place looked promising! The staff was really nice ,and it was quick and simple. The only drawback with iced drinks is you are paying mostly for a cup of ice and some oat milk, so its not that complex, but nevertheless this was good!
After searching high and low in the Kings Cross area for something open after 5 pm, we were left with only one choice. The staff was rude, unwelcoming, and unhelpful, the coffee had that bitter/burnt taste that oh so many shops do.
Having tried Bluebird Coffee the other month, leaving completely underwhelmed, we were back on The King’s Road again. We decided to go to Love My Human instead! The Staff were friendly, the decor was amazing! Dog-themed everything, it was great! They sell dog food, treats, accessories,s and even doggy menus. So we took a seat and ordered the usual. The coffees were good, a little small but pretty, so we were happy.
We have gone past this so many times and always thought it looked too trendy with teeny cups. Ash decided that he would give it a go and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very pleasant, even when abusive customers were complaining about the staff not being psychic. The Coffee itself was really good, surprisingly!
I fancied a change from the Coffee that I usually get when I am alone. I remembered that there was a T4 at Angel, so I ventured in. The store is pretty small, with one machine to order from, and the staff have no idea what they are doing. They are literally reading the recipe each time – It took about 20 minutes to do a drink, so there was quite a queue. I got a Taro Oat mil,k which was tasteless and over-diluted.
